Description Rainer Bielefeld 2005-12-07 17:28:47 UTC
This is a "spin off" from issue 58818 / "Additional comments from
rainerbielefeld Mon Dec 5 08:48:38 -0800 2005"

I checked with “2.0.1 RC2 German version WIN XP: [680m143(Build8986)]” and found
out that HELP index is completely messed up. All that was fine in 2.0, but now
we have a big number of index entries. I did some spot check and saw that they
lead to the correct german help texts, but the index entry is in English.

Some of my results for comparison between 2.0 and 2.0.1RC2 You find in my
attached "screenshots.odt".

Becuase of the high vixibility this is really serious an makes help more or less
unusable, so P2.

Sorry, or course heading must be "RC2" and not "RC3" in table heading.

This seems to be a blocker for 2.0.1
Comment 3 Mechtilde 2005-12-08 09:46:50 UTC
This is a problem of many of sides in the help.
Comment 4 Rainer Bielefeld 2005-12-10 17:26:17 UTC
Still the same in "2.0.1 RC4 German version WIN XP: [680m145(Build8989)]"

Accept issue (change status to STARTED)

key ID 282248

Checked other langs... They seem ok.

comments from mail:
the StarOffice base team just found another bug in the DB. It seems that the
last file we received and imported contained English text in the German lines.

The StarOffice team has now provided 2 files:

the file HC2_MWS_PP1_49.gsi.gz which is the file extracted from the database as
we have it now (with English in the German lines)
and the file HC2_MWS_PP1_49.zip which we originally exported and delivered

This mix of german and english index textes are also found in the Linux-Version
of 2.0.1 RC 4 (german localisation). This is a regression to 2.0.0.
