Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 59936
can't open an existing text document
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:42:46 UTC
I wrote a *.odt file and saved my work. Then i closed the Application. Now i want to open that document and nothing happens. The soffice.BIN in the Taskmanager takes 100% CPU-power and the Application "OpenOffice.org Writer" freezes. If somebody is interested in, I can send the file for testing. My System: AMDxp 2400 512mb RAM win2k sp4
Created attachment 32818 [details] opening = freezing
Can reproduce with OOo 2.0.1 Win98SE. P2: Crashs or freezes during normal operations of the application; Thank you for reporting. Hwoarang
MRU->OD: I suspect the object positioning here. The document contains a lot of formula objects, which are anchored "to character".
Yes I made a lots of formula objects, and then i saved the document as odt and as a pdf-file. Then i closed the program without an error.
accepted. first investigation reveals: - assertion 'Looping Louie' comes up endlessly, indicating layout loop on page 1.
re-target to OOo 2.x, because OOo 2.0.3 deadline missed.
No longer reproducible in OOo 2.3 and SRC680m234.
OD->MRU: Please verify and close this issue
Reopen to mark as "fixed".
OO 2.3 still shows the problem. Checked this with OO 2.3.1 and OO 2.4 dev build 680m236. Works now correctly.
Closed, works fine since OO 2.3.1.
