Description raindrops 2006-01-04 14:52:33 UTC
The frame captions have the "text" style. There is no special style attached to
them by default.

As result, it is difficult to apply a different style to them.

For example, if I wanted the captions of all NEW frames to be bold, centralized,
how do I do that?

Another example: If I want to change the formatting of ALL the frames I have
inserted so far, how do I do that in one stroke (without having to select each
frame one by one and changing its style?)

Reassigned to requirements.

well you can create a style yourself and apply it to the caption, can't you
(there is the problem that you can't seperate the category label from the
caption text)? And there is the Options menu in the frame caption dilaogue where
you can select a character style.

Raindrops -> Lars.

This issue is NOT about applying a user-defined style to caption.

Even if I create a user-defined style for captions, it does NOT solve the second
problem I described: whenever I create new frames, I will have to apply the
style to each frame's caption individually.

In other words, if I apply a general style to a caption, it is not inherited
automatically for new frames. For that, it should be made part of the frame's

To be specific-
1. The caption's font+paragraph style should be defined in the default
definition of frames.
2. Let the user modify this style if he wants. When the style is modified, ALL
the frames will automatically get updated; and after that when the user inserts
a new frame, its caption will automatically inherit the new style.
