Description jwalter 2006-01-07 19:37:46 UTC
see the attached doc.

german 2.0.1.

1. mark a single word in the 1st yellow paragraph and change the style to
"Textkörper" (text body). nothing happens.

2. mark a single word in the 3. paragraph (also yellow) and change style to
"Textkörper". the whole paragraph looses background color.

3. position cursor before the first word on the page ("sinnstrukturen") and hit
enter. repeat 1. and compare. the whole paragraph looses background color.

I find that very strange. Maybe that is intended. if so I don't get it.

1. you use a paragraph style, you must use a character style (also I don't see a
difference between the styles format (Style->Modify) and the format of the
characters)

2. the paragraph style is applied, it has no background colour

3. the paragraph style is applied too.

The problem is either that the paragraph style isn't applied to the paragraph in
case 1 or that a paragraph style is applied to the whole paragraph despite only
one word is being highlighted in case 2 and 3. I think the latter works as
designed, so 1 is the defect.

MRU->OS; it is a small inconsistency; when applying the same paragraph style, in
the first paragraph of a document, the hard attributes will not be overwritten
as in other paragraphs. See attached document; there, the background color in
the first paragraph will remain when applying (already available) "Text body";
when doing the same with the other yellow paragraph, it will be overwritten.
