Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 60278
database merge failure - fields and page styles
Last modified: 2006-06-13 11:52:11 UTC
For the last couple of years, I have been successfully creating batches of nearly identical documents using OOo1, MySQL, and a .sxw document. Once set up, this process worked without a hitch: in OOo2 it fails. There are two problems: filling fields, and the loss of the first page style. filling fields -------------- The underlying document has docinfo fields and fields from a single query. These appear in the main text and in headers and footers. If at stage 6 I change the "Recipient" and then Edit the document, I can see that all the fields have been filled correctly. If I then return to the process and complete it by saving the documents separately, all the fields in header or footer are filled incorrectly in every document. The database field (in the header) shows the relevant content of the first row in the query, and has not updated as the main text fields have. The docinfo fields (in the footer) are blank. The fields in the main text are correct. loss of page style ------------------ Once again, the stage 6 inspection is fine: but the output document has the style for the second page imposed on the first page as well. These effects appear using the .sxw document or a .odt version of it. I attach the .sxw document and a filled .odt document.
