Description orgreader 2006-01-16 09:30:01 UTC
In my version (actually NeoOffice 1.2beta) OOo provides access to every document ever opened via the
"Load Url" field in the upper left corner of the function bar. As far as I saw, the related informations are
saved in "Common.xcu" (in Mac OS X.3.9. to be found "user/library/preferences/...). This uses more HD
space than necessary by writing the list fuller and fulller and: There is no ease of use for the "load url"
field. It would be useful to have no more than about 20 entries saved and older ones automatically
deleted - or to have a function wich lets users decide, how many entries they want.
As a solution for a mean time - could someone ad a possibility to let OOo rewrite common.xcu on
demand (an easy solution - just press a button - please, because not everyone will work him- or
herself through the preferences librarys of his or her operating system)

Hoping I did write correctly, regards, T.

I tried deleting common.xcu - the list has gone, NeoOffice rewrites common.xcu after restarting the
programm, and everything seems to run fine (at least, I did not realize anything bad). But I had to quit
NeoOffice, delete common.xcu AND cleen the dustbin for not having that list rewritten.

This as a workaround for the moment - but it is not comfortable.
Regards, T.

we need more help on this issue.

Also NeoOffice has it's own bug tracker.

Please test if this issue exists with original OOo 2.x
