In the "Insert special characters" dialog, provide a favorites' list.

This is useful in reusing the often-used characters.

Also have an option to put favorite characters on the toolbar so one can be 
inserted without navigating menus. Then it would make sense to be able to 
select macros and templates from the toolbar too.

The subset list of the special character box lists character sets in Unicode 
Character Set order, which isn't so user-friendly to a typist looking for 
character (most of the characters I want are in the general punctuation 
character set, way down the list). This makes a favorite (or most recent) 
character list even more important.
