Description baasbartels 2006-02-15 09:36:09 UTC
When the first chapter/heading in the document is not numbered '1' but something
else (e.g. numbering starts with '2'), and you hyperlink the TOC entries, the
hyperlinks start pointing to themselves instead of to the corresponding heading.

This is with Openoffice 2.0 on Hoary.

How to reproduce:
 - Create a new document in writer.
 - Create a heading 1 with some text
 - Insert a TOC at the top and make the toc-entries hyperlinked
 - Click on the hyperlink in the TOC, you should now go to the chapter heading
you created.
 - Now go to 'tools'-> 'outline numbering'
 - change 'start at' for the level 1 headings to something other than 1 (e.g. 2)
 - update the TOC
 - Click on the hyperlink in the TOC. Now you are no longer taken to the chapter
heading, but to the TOC entrie itself.

I can verify this problem on OOo 2.0.3 running on Windows XP. If the numbering
for headings is set to start at anything other than '1', then the hyperlink
targets are wrong in the TOC.

Note that in the Navigator, the numbering of the headings shows up correctly.
However if you select Insert -> Hyperlink, and try to select the hyperlink
target, the numbering of the headings is wrong.

(BTW the problem is not restricted to the numbering of the first chapter/heading
in a document. If numbering is set to start at anything other than 1 for any
level, then hyperlink targets seem to be wrong for that level.)

Bug with the index entries starting with a float number.

->jza: Your attachment shows a different problem. There are no start vaues
involved. Instead the manual numbering creates the problem.

Hi there,

I just found this (open) bug here because I have the same issue with OOo 3.0.0
(build:9358) on GNU/Linux X86_64 (Ubunut 8.10)
I don't open a new bug report but I do add a sample document because the bug
still remains:

TOC entries starting with a floatingpoint number + space don't work in the OOo
document - in the exported PDF document they work.

greetings

I just downloaded OOo 3.0.1 (Build 9379) for x86_64 Debian GNU/Linux ...

the problems still exists within ODT and PDF.

In the exported PDF-file the links in the TOC do not work. Yesterday I just
clicked in the bookmark window (of the pdf file), this works but in the pdf
document on page on the (first) link does not work.

greetings,
knoedel
