Math formulas written in OOo 2.0.2 do not appear correctly when saved as .doc
files and opened in Microsoft Word.  This means that scientists, mathematicians,
statisticians, economists, and many others cannot use OOo 2.0.2 because they
cannot send .doc documents to coauthors, reviewers, or journals.

The problem is worse in OOo 2.0.2 than it was in OOo 2.0.0.  In 2.0.0, equations
could be eventually seen in Word by clicking on them.  In 2.0.2 an OpenOffice
popup comes up that regular Word users will not understand and there is no way
to see the equation in its correct form.

This is likely a duplicate to issue 53223.

If you don't think so, then please attach the original OOo-document and the
converted doc-document, tell what settings do you use in Tools - Options -
Load/Save - Microsoft Office and tell whether your system has got the font
'StarSymbol'.

This really sounds like a duplicate of issue 53223. 
If you are talking about a different thing, please attach a sample document and
describe the problem a bit more precisely. Thanks a lot!
