Description des 2002-07-06 06:02:58 UTC
Opening an existing Word 97 document containing a table in Writer has an issue.
The row height does not take into account the style in the cell, so that if the
style has Bottom Spacing, one would expect to see the appropriate amount of
white space. However, in a Word table, this does not occur, and no white space
shows. Creating a table in Writer using the same style displays the expected
behaviour.

I have looked to determine if there is a way to reset this to the expected, but
I have been unable to do so. I use tables regularly in Word and need OOo to be
consistent, so that Word documents can be shared between both applications.

This hasn't been implemented yet (refer to the filter lists), because
there hasn't been a clear concept about how to convert this in a
suitable way.
Writer and Word work a bit different in this point. Word saves the
spacing to the cell content as table- AND as cell-attribute; Writer
only as cell-attribute. And in the attached sample file, the cell
attribute takes the table's attrbute, which won't be possible in
Writer at the moment.

Unfortunately, when exporting to Word, Writer doesn't save cell
spacing even as cell attribute. Or maybe it does, and the reason why I
can't see it in Word is that Word can't find the appropriate TABLE
attribute?
