When you have created a note, you get the option 'Show Note' in the context
menu, but it no longer has the note icon that was there before creation. When
you select 'show note' you realise that this is because a checkmark appears next
to it. A better solution IMO would be to always have the yellow note icon in
place, and make the options 'Show Note' and 'Hide Note'

Not a defect as we never had this Icon.
Changed to enhancement and re-assigned to requirements for further decission
finding.

Friends at ooo.ximian.com have the solution. We use it since 2.0.0.

You can lift into stream from here:
http://ooo.ximian.com/patches/src680/sc-insert-note-on-right-click.diff

I think we should use it in 2.0.4...

the patch (now that ooo.ximian.com is go-oo.org it is here
http://go-oo.org/patches/src680/sc-insert-note-on-right-click.diff ) doesn't add
the icon to the menu, but inserts an "add note" menu to the context menu. (And
contains an error in the german text, it should not be "Hinweis", but "Notiz"...

"Insert note" in context menu has been added with CWS SRC680/notecontext, will 
be available in OOo 2.2.

"Show note" in context menu never had an icon, also "Delete note". So this issue 
is about adding icons for these two slots.

DR->MMP: Please decide about a target. New icons have to be designed.
