Description hans_werner67 2006-04-12 13:26:13 UTC
Hi all,
inside the office we have a spell-checker, but what about a link-checker?

Means for me, look inside my active document (writer/calc or what ever) and
verify all links (mailto: http: ftp: etc.). The verification can be done in the
background using an active internet-connection (best case) or searching for
typos (e.g. http:///three_slashes.com).

Verify mailto: URIs?!? Spammer ;-)

And http:///three_slashes.com isn't necessarily a typo. Three slashes means the
host part omitted, which boils down to 'localhost', so this example would point
to the file three_slashes.com in the root directory of your local machine.

Yes, three slashes in a link are not invalid, a misleading example.

But major point is, to have a check of URLs, may in a science document or a
technical agenda. Therefor it would be nice to have something to verify.
