For example: record a macro that search for bold text and replace with italic. 
Quit OOo and try to reexecute the macro.

confirmed with 680_m168 on WinXP Pro SP2; note that closing OOo (and 
quickstarter) is essential because initially the macro works after creation

Still not working, assigning to developer of Issue #81517 - [Meta] [Writer] Macro recorder functions not recorded properly
There is nothing I can do about that;
Upload of testdocument with macro; It works direct after recording, but not after closing OOo and reopening.
