When you import an Excel document containing a Drop Down menu ("List Box" in
OOo) whose source is a named range, it comes in without a source in OpenOffice.

The problem seems to be that OpenOffice doesn't allow a name to be the "Source
cell range" of a form control, which is why it can't import them.
Unfortunately, I can't figure out where that would go in this bug system.

It doesn't allow a name to be the "Linked cell" either. (The attached file
shows that too.)

as it has never worked, it's not a defect but an enhancement request. Re-flagged
and re-assigned to requirements.
