Description mailman42 2006-06-09 18:25:19 UTC
DDE linking is broke with the release of OO 2.0.1

My dde linking, which works under (debian/testing) Linux & Mac OS X 1.1.4;

=DDE("soffice";"./receipts2006.sxc";"May.I43")

This works under Mac OS X & Linux, using OO 1.1.4

This does not work under Linux & Mac OS X 2.0.1.

This is a critical feature that my company makes use of

Can you please provide a sample so that it is easy for those trying to confirm
this problem that it is a regression.

You need to also tell us :
What the expected behaviour is and what is the actual behaviour ?

Attached you will find a zip file with 6 spreadsheet files, that I use for my
non-profit club.

Under OO 1.1.3, when I click on reports, if will ask if I want to update the
links, as I need to have them updated, I click yes, and OO 1.1.3 dutifully opens
the other 5 spreadheets, and insertes their values in the correct locations.

Under OO 2.0.*, this is broke. Severely broke. I get, in the cells that are
linked, a big fat "N/A", becuase is cannot find/read/process the very same
spreadsheet cells OO 1.1.3 can.
