Description electricbase 2006-06-14 12:45:50 UTC
Right now, I am doing Beta test for Microsoft Office 2007. I find no version
Open Office can read MS Office 2007. I hope Open Office Team can add this
function as soon as possible.

openoffice can read most MS office files except MS
office 2007 beta 1 and 2. But unfortunately, if you use MS office to open
openoffice file, that have always has problems, as document is nearly frozen.
The file is corrupt. MS office 2007 cannot read openoffice files.

I close this issue as "invalid" because we don't use it though the requested
enhancement will be implemented anyway. Expect import filters to be ready
somewhere in summer/autumn 2007.

We are working on import filters for this format already, but we will have
separate issues for every application. It doesn't make sense to keep this
"super" issue for this.

Kami, thanks for the hint to the converter. In our opinion an XSLT based filter
is the wrong approach, it will never reach a sufficient quality.

closing.
