I think it would be good to connect the development of training
materials with the development of other documentation like
OOo4msoffice-user. Most documentation done now seems be be HowTos
rather then complete documentations. This kind of documentation is
close to what one could use in trainings. There are already some
examples, that could be used in trainings too. Only the number of
steps should be adjusted.
What is needed for training separately are some presentation. But even
this could be closely connected to the documentation. This would help
the users because they easier link the documentation for their daily
work with the trainings they got.

I think these should be created as seperate issues, and added as Tasks
so they appear on the Task list.

What do you think?

I like the idea of developing training materials, as I think this will help encourage
organizations (companies) to adopt OOo as well as be useful to individual users. I
have materials developed for formal classes in Brand X which I will work on revising
and re-writing to the recently posted style guide. They are not necessarily the last
word, but should be a start.

We need to review this in light of the User Guides and HOWTOs.

Please have a look at the http://documentation.openoffice.org main page.
Meanwhile numerous efforts have been started to link all types of documentation:
application help, manuals, how-to, Wiki pages. Please add "tutorials" wherever
applicable and discuss this on the dev@documentation.openoffice.org mail list.
Will close this issue because Issuezilla is not a first choice task planner.
