Description bmarcelly 2006-07-06 20:19:32 UTC
The search descriptor contains property SearchType which is nowhere described in the
With some test I found it has interesting functionality in SpreadSheet:
SearchType = 0 : search in cell formulas
SearchType = 1 : search in cell values
SearchType = 2 : search in cell notes
Of course these values are probably enums to be documented.
I don't know if there are also values for text documents.

This is already working in version 1.1.4 (possibly earlier versions).

In the same SearchDescriptor service, property SearchByRow is also not documented.
Useful in Spreadsheet searches.

JSC -> NN: i am not sure if you arethe right person to fix this issue. But it
seems that the mentioned properties from the SearchDescriptor was introduced in
the context of a spreadsheet document. I would suggfest o docuemnt them as
optional properties withthe appropriate explanation. If they are spreadsheet
only, we should document them at the spreadsheet specific service/interface
where they are typical use in a SearchDescriptor. Ideally we would extend the
Devguide as well.
If you think that you are not the right person -> please back to me.
