I open the OO 2.0.3 writer and enter some text. Then I try to import from my 
Epson scanner. I press insert,,,,picture,,,,,scan,,,,select source and a 
rtequestor pops up that lists EPSON TWAIN 5, which is my Epson scanner. WHen I 
select it nothing happens. Please help!

Do you use Insert > Picture > Scan > Request ?

I tried exactly what you stated in your response to me. "Do you use Insert > 
Picture > Scan > Request ?" When I did this my Epson Scanner 5.0 Twain screen 
came up and did a quick scan for me. (The software allows you to select just a 
section of the scan befoe it does the final scan) Then when I press the scan 
button in the twain software nothing happened. I then closed the Epson 
software and tried again, but the scanner software did not pop up at all this 
time. At this point I cannot close the Open Office 2.0.3 software. I have to 
reboot to remove the Open Office writer application.


I am running WinXP service pack 2 on an Athlon 64 FX-60 Dual Processor with 2 
Gigs of Ram.

I have tested this here with WinXP and 2.0.3 and it works without problems.
Maybe it helps if you reinstall your scanner software?
If you use the request entry is is only for selecting the source. Please use the
Request-command.
