Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 67257
WW8: character style is not applied to HyperLink
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:21:54 UTC
Using a character style with an hyperlink, the style is not applied properly. Loading the attached doc in MSWord, the link is orange while loading it in OpenOffice, the link is blue. Document was create in MSWord2003. Maybe a duplicate of BUG#66871.
Created attachment 37694 [details] HyperLink with a style applied to it.
Reassigned to ES.
ES->MRU: I think this is more your area then mine... :)
Cannot see a difference. When I open the attached document in MS Word 2003, the link is also shown blue. Maybe you have clicked the link and it is shown as "visited" link; this is not saved in the .doc format and connot be imported thus. This information is saved in MS Word cache.
Closed.
Created attachment 37725 [details] File created in MSWord and never touched by OO.
Sorry, but I wrongly saved the bug-oo-link.doc attachment using OpenOffice. I attached a new file touched only by MSWord which exhibit the behavior: good in MSWord; not ok in OO. This also indicates that once opened and saved by OO, the link (file) is modified and if re-opend back in MSWord the link is no loger correct. Remark: from my understanding a link with an applied style that overrides the color should always be of that color visited or not.
Open the second attachment -> the hyperlink is displayed as it is formatted with the common "hyperlink" character style. The char style "C property" is correctly applied by the import, but it is not active somehow.
I don't know the MS-format, but in OOo hyperlinks are a character property and have an individual style-selection (Format|Character → Hyperlink → Styles for visited/non-visited link) So applying a character style to the text doesn't have an impact on the hyperlink. You have to set the Hyperlink-formatting to use that character style (and you can use the same style for both visited and unvisited hyperlinks) If all links are supposed to look the same, an easy workaround is to modify the character style "internet link" (and visited link) which is used as default style for hyperlinks
