Description stadt 2006-07-29 11:49:50 UTC
When I try to insert an EMF image via \insert\image\file ... I get only a black
layer, despite EMF is listed as importable format.

Pasting the image to the clipboard (e.g. by using XNView) and inserting via
ctrl.V gives the desired result (image is shown in writer).

Tested only on Windows 2000, so I don't know if other OS are affected too.

Same applies to WinXP (SP2) and to Draw (when using /file/open)

For 2.0.4 IMHO it would be sufficient to disable EMF as supported format.

Issue is confirmed by another user, see

I cannot reproduce the problem with my sample .emf's. Could you please attach
the one you tried to import into OO Writer/Draw?
I think, it is a special problem with this certain graphic. Thanks a lot!

In the meanwhile I've tried to open the supplied testfile with different EMF
capable apps.

IExplorer works
Speedcommander works
Nero Cover Designer works
XNview works

OOoffice fails

Unfortunately I don't have more apps beeing able to read EMF (e.g. Photoshop
doesn't). But I guess testing more image viewers won't help here.

MRU->SJ: Importing the attached emf file will result in an all-black graphic
frame. Works fine in MS Word e.g.

accepted,

(EMR_SETDIBITSTODEVICE meta action needs to be implemented into the emf filter)
