Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 67960
Hiding changes to a document but still give indicator besides paragraph
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:39:56 UTC
I would like to be able to hide deleted text when tracking changes, while the paragraph is still marked on the left handside of the page. MS Word provides this feature and it would be very nice, if this could be implemented as an additional attribute of Options > OpenOffice.org Writer > Changes in OO as well
Did you try to change the attributes in 'Tools > Options > OpenOffice.org Writer > Changes' to in German '[keine]' (in Englisch perhaps 'no').
Yes, as jolatt mentioned above, this can be done in Tools.options.Writer.Changes. there, set in the "Colors" and "Attributes" boxes "[none]" for Deletions.
Closed, feature already available.
No, this only works for inserted text and attribute changes, but if you delete text the text is not removed and not marked. This leads only to more confusion, because you have deleted text looking exactly as normal text.
Confirm comment from empty.
I understand, what you mean now. But currently this behaviour is "industry standard and works exactly as in MS Word. Reopening issue to reassign to "requirements".
Reassigned to "requirements". Desired is a possibility to have tracked deletions NOT shown in document, but an additional marking besides the paragraph containing the deletions (to indicate THAT thare is a change in the paragraph).
