Description Regina Henschel 2006-08-06 17:11:23 UTC
Customize your Draw UI in this way:
Standard toolbar > Visible Buttons > enable '3D Effects'.
View > uncheck 'Page Pane'
Drag the dialog window '3D Effects' to the left border and dock it there.
Hide the window '3D Effects' by clicking on the little points.
Close Draw

Now open a new Presentation. The '3D Effects'-window is open in docked style.
But there is no direct way to close it (I mean close, not hide). I personally
know that I can make a dummy 3D-Object and use its context menu. But I think,
that Draw and Impress should have an independent UI and that the '3D
Effects'-window should appear in Impress only if I opened it in Impress and not
if I opened it in Draw.

reassigning
Comment 2 wolframgarten 2006-08-07 09:27:59 UTC
Reproducible. Workaround: just tear the window off in impress and close it with
the closer.
Comment 3 groucho266 2006-08-14 08:45:01 UTC
Accepted.
Comment 4 groucho266 2006-08-14 16:45:36 UTC
The first part is related and possibly duplicate to issue 68216.
Comment 5 groucho266 2006-08-14 16:47:55 UTC
I can not reproduce the second part (toolbar turned on for Draw; Impress shows
the toolbar, too).
Comment 6 Regina Henschel 2006-08-14 17:10:01 UTC
"I can not reproduce the second part."
Perhaps my description is not clear enough. I'll attach three screenshots.
Bild1: dock the window in Draw; Bild2: Hide the window in Draw; Bild3: Start a
new Impress document
