Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 68545
Find/replace by default within formula
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:12:27 UTC
If you want to find and replace all in a spreadsheet, the changes will be done within the data and within the formula. Try to replace all "A" by "". You will can see that, for example, "=A2" is replaced by "=2". Expanding additionnal options in the "search and replace" dialog will show that the default is set to "Formula". I'm not sure that changing cell ids within formula is the more frequent or the more intuitive option for an end user. And anyway, changes should be done only within formula, if this option is set. Best regards, Ph. --
allart, I am changing your issue to "ENHANCEMENT".
OK, I could see that Excel has the same behavior, except that the GUI doesn't seem to allow to deactivate it. Perhaps, it's a feature... :-) Ph. --
