Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 68565
AutoFill fails when an element is in more than one Sort List
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:13:14 UTC
1. Open a new Calc Document. 2. Tools -> Options -> OOo Calc -> Sort Lists. 3. Create a new list with entries "aa", ""bb", "cc", "dd"; then Add, OK. 4. Write "aa" in A1, "bb" in A2. Select A1-A2 and drag onto A3-A10. 5. Cells A3-A10 are filled with "cc", "dd", "aa", "bb", ... as expected. 6. Tools -> Options -> OOo Calc -> Sort Lists. 7. Create a new list with entries "aa", ""ee", "ii", "oo", "uu"; then Add, OK. 8. Write "aa" in B1, "ee" in B2. Select B1-B2 and drag onto B3-B10. Expected: 9. Cells B3-B10 are filled with "ii", "oo" and values from the second sort list. Actual: 9. Cells B3-B10 are filled with "aa" and "ee" repeated. So OOo gets confused by the element "aa" appearing in two sort lists; if you remove the first sort list, everything work as expected. Note that this problem appears in a default Italian install, as "mar", which is an abbreviation for both "Martedì" (Tuesday) and "Marzo" (March), appears in two sort lists.
