Confirmed on PPC, but not reproducible on Intel.
I cannot update the version, as it is set at 1.0.0, and should be something like 680m177.

Can this issue be checked against 2.2 build with macosxmapfiles fix?

Last time I checked installing packages the way it's described here I had no
crash with OOo 2.2.0 on Mac OS X 10.4.9 Intel.

Please verify if this could be a PPC only issue or not.

This is an important issue. I'll try to reproduce with a recent build.
