Description fbrzvnrnd 2006-09-05 08:06:17 UTC
If I build a query using SQL, and I want to use the query as subform, the link
between the form and the subform is not working if I use the SQL button to use
the query as SQL (the subform makes everytime a complete query and shows all the
fields). Look at the example file: selecting datas in form, the subform do not
shows datas and in the form properties I do not see column name of the SQL query.

The query is working fine in subform if I do not check the SQL icon in toolbar,
but I can not do this, 'cause -if I do no check the SQL icon- when I close the
query and I need to reopen it to modify it, openoffice opens the query in design
graphic mode. If the query I wrote in SQL (and working in form!) is quite
complex the desing mode destroy the query and do not give me the choose to exit
the design mode for a generic SQL syntax error.

He is correct. I just downloaded his test file and tried this using 2.0.4 RC 1.
( After renaming the queries for the new naming rules and updating the forms
dataform controls )

The issue is that when 'Run SQL Direct' is set to true for the query being used
by the sub form then having a Master->Slave linkage makes has effect. The result
set for the slave dataform is not filtered at all.

I believe that what happens is that when the query is set as 'Run SQL Direct'
the dataform setts it's property 'Analyze SQL Command to NO.

For example, If you open the test.odb file and save the colour query with SQL
Direct set to false. Then go into the form and change the 'Analyze SQL Command'
to NO you will have the exact same behavior again.

Hi,

This is not realy a duplicate to isse 66559, but it depends on it.

So I set this issue also as RFE and send to the right developer.

Bye Marc
