Description scarr 2002-08-12 17:21:00 UTC
When adding an Attachment to issuezilla, you are prompted to give a type for the
file you are uploading.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to include the MIME types for the OOo applications in
this list as well? Currently, the only format you can specify is Octet-Stream,
if we could select Writer MIME type then the browser could load the file in OOo
automatically.

I don't think OpenOffice has MIME types officially yet. However, if
there are some, you can manually enter them on the "Create a new
attachment" page.

http://framework.openoffice.org/documentation/mimetypes/mimetypes.html

Please check the above page. These are the accepted MIME types for
the applications. The original problem with the page was the fact
that we have MIME types for everything else, except for the product we
are supporting. ;-)

Scott is right. IZ used to accept Ooo mime types but that was before
638c, I believe. Now it does not. We mut use "binary." there is
another issue, 7599, on this
(http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=7599).
Marking this as duplicate of that.

As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved duplicate
issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is
unfortunately to set them to verified.
