Description drc 2006-10-13 22:20:00 UTC
Open a new OOo spreadsheet. type 1 in cell A1, highlight then fill down.
Result as expected is the progression 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.
Type 1 in cell A2, highlight A1 and A2. (Both contain 1)
Fill down - result as expected is 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, etc.

Repeat using Sun instead of 1.
Sun on its own fills as Sun, Mon, Tue, etc. as expected.
Highlight A1 and A2, both containing Sun.
Fill down - expected result Sun, Sun, Sun, Sun, etc.
Actual result Sun, Sun, Mon, Tue, etc.

What? This behavior has been known for 4 years, and it still exists in OOo
3.2.1. What a pity. I voted for it.

@rainerbielefeld: Sorry, but I am not sure how to "revive" this old and still
valid issue, it's been bothering me during courses. At the moment it seems to be
assigned to noone and has noone as cc. Could you help me with this by putting it
back to somewhere inside a workflow?

Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
