Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 70626
table cell border spacing cannot be freely adjusted due to missing tri-state
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:19:54 UTC
In a table, taken from an imported MS Word document, the whitespace between the text and the cell borders cannot be set to zero; even when cell border spacing, paragraph spacing and paragraph indent are all zero. A newly created table in the same document with the same text behaves correctly.

When changing the border spacings in the table properties once to e.g. 0,1cm and then back to 0,0 cm the table looks well. There seems to be something wrog during the import proces. Could you please attach the original Word document to this issue? Thanks a lot!
Sent original Word document to mru by email.
You should always upload them here so they are part of the issue - what if some other dev wanted to work on it?
Problem is not the import. The first table cell has slightly different spacing-settings than the other cells. MRU->OS: the table border "spacig" spin fields do not offer a tri-state situation, thus when the whole table is selected, the values cannot be set to 0 by the user.
