Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 70721
no video displayed on second monitor
Last modified: 2021-12-11 09:27:16 UTC
To reproduce: 1. Create a blank presentation 2. Insert->Movie and Sound http://fredrik.hubbe.net/plugger/testold.avi as a "Movie and Sound" 3. Enlarge video to fill slide 4. Run slide show Results: - When set to first monitor, video plays small but OK. Sound is OK. - When set to second monitor, no video is shown (but sound is OK). System: - OOo 680m188 - Xnest (to fake two monitors) - Sun JRE 1.5.0.7 - JMF 2.1.1e
Reassigned.
I can't reproduce the bug. Maybe it's a xnest bug. Can you also reproduce the bug with xephyr?
How do you launch Xephyr with multiple screens? I see how to do it in Xnest, but not Xephyr. **Test** I tested this bug with real dual head hardware. Whether I started OOo on monitor 1 or 2, the video would play only on that monitor. If I played presentation on non-primary monitor, the video was replaced by a brown-ish box. (However, in all cases, the audio played.) In other words: Start presentation on monitor 1, play on monitor 1: OK Start presentation on monitor 1, play on monitor 2: no video Start presentation on monitor 2, play on monitor 1: no video Start presentation on monitor 2, play on monitor 2: OK Test system: Fedora Core 6, OpenOffice.org 2.1 (official version), ATI Rage Mobility M3, X.org 7.1 configured for 2 individual desktops.
You tested it with original dual display hardware therefore forget my question about xephyr.
I talked with the developer and he said, that he did a fix in exactly that area. The fix is intgrated in OOo 2.2 Please have a look if the bug still occurs in OOo 2.2.
Using OOo 2.2 now on the otherwise same Dell Latitude notebook, I still get no video on second/presentation monitor.
I use a second monitor and the presenter console with no problem. Try to update to AOO 4.1.11. Reopen if the problem occurs
