Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 71064
Inconsistent case sensitive behaviour in Help Index
Last modified: 2009-07-20 14:52:50 UTC
In Help with the Index tab open, entries are listed alphabetically, ignoring case, eg in Calc "PI function" comes before "picklist creation" However entering "pi" in the search box finds "picklist creation", not "PI function" - in other words the search *is* case sensitive The result is that the help entry for PI is effectively hidden (off the top of the box), and would be missed by many users. Searching for "PI" does give "PI function" of course. Applies to Writer as well, eg "ASCII" / "assigning scripts".
Index search in Help Viewer should not be case sensitive
pb -> mt: this is a problem of the autocompletion of the ComboBox.
