Description goc 2006-11-05 11:42:11 UTC
I'd like to be able to enter decimal numbers with a dot instead of a comma, no
matter what the locale says. My localized version of OOo (German) doesn't seem
to have an option to change this.

Thank you!

reassigning features and enhancements to user requirements@openoffice.org which
will be the default owner for those tasks (was introduced some time ago)

Tools - Options... - Language Settings - Languages - Decimal separator key.
According help:
"If this checkbox is activated, the character shown after "Same as locale setting" is inserted when you press the key on the number pad. If this checkbox is not activated, the character that your keyboard driver software provides is inserted."

Make it simpler:
check box for dot
check box for comma
