Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 71834
Object "to character" pasted into page breaking paragraph positoned on source object
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:25:39 UTC
I have a paragraph, starting on the first page and finishing on the second. If I make a frame "AT_CHARACTER" on the first page, it displays normally (straight away). If I create a frame "AT_CHARACTER" on the second page, it does not display at first. Then, if I create another frame, the first frame will only display now, and the second will be hidden, and so on. Reproducible : Always, with the frames I am using. How ? 1. Load the document in attachment. 2. Copy a frame anchored to a character in the first paragraph. 3. Paste it in the paragraph on the second page, where it is written "Paste here first =>." 4. Paste it again in the paragraph on the second page, where it is written "Paste here second =>." 5. Paste it again in the paragraph on the second page, where it is written "Paste here third =>."
Created attachment 40811 [details] Follow the instruction on the document (the problem description is not exactly the same as what will happens with this document)
The problem happening in the attached document is not exactly the same as what I am dealing with in another document. But it is very similar. So here is the corrected procedure to reproduce the problem. 1. Load the document in attachment. 2. Copy the frame "FRAME TO COPY" on the first page. 3. Paste it in the paragraph on the second page, where it is written "TRY TO PASTE THE FRAME HERE FIRST =>". It seems it was paste on the first page. 4. Paste the same frame again in the paragraph on the second page, where it is written "THEN TRY TO PASTE THE FRAME HERE =>". Again It seems it was paste on the first page. 5. Copy the frame "SECOND FRAME" which is in the same paragraph on the second page. 6. Paste this frame in the paragraph on the second page, where it is written "NOW COPY SECOND FRAME AND PASTE IT HERE =>". On my first try, this would display the three frames at the right place. On my second try, (when loading the saved document), it would simply display the frames at the wrong places. To reproduce the bug, it may be better to start with a new document. And do fresh copies of the frames from another document. I think this bug is partly linked with the issue #71596.
MRU->OD: a certin objct which is anchored "to character" will be inserted wrongly when pasting into a part of a paragraphon the beginning of a new page. Copy the object "Frame to copy" from top of page 1 into clipboard, place cursor inhe beginning of page two and paste he object -> it will be positioned right on the source object on page one. The positioning vlues are relative to character, so this can't be the problem.
