Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 72004
Export only note
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:06:04 UTC
PDF Export function exports slices and, if selected, note in only one file. There isn't a way to export only note. The export wizard must give possibility to choice what You export (slices, note, both). Is usefull to have slices and note in distinct files.
Reassigned.
I submit again my request. Please, send me comments.

Enhance "Export to PDF" feature to allow export of only notes and not slides. Create a document - click on the notes tab and add notes select "file -> export as PDF" You can select to export notes and a file is created with the slides at the top and notes at the bottom of the page. There is no option to export only notes. Checked for this feature on a MacBook Pro Mac OS X 10.5.4 using PowerPoint 2004 for mac and Impress 300_m8 and on Windows XP using PowerPoint 2007 and Impress 300_m8. This feature is not available in PowerPoint or Impress. Some workarounds have been posted to the OOo forum and in the OOo wiki. From the wiki: http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/OOoAuthors_User_Manual/Impress_Guide/Adding_and_formatting_notes “If you want only the Notes pages, you will need to use some other program to remove the unwanted pages of slides from the PDF." There are a few tools available that will strip the slides from a pdf file, leaving just the notes. Forum links: http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=54538 http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=69874 There does appear to be some interest in this enhancement.
>> lbhamm 2008-10-04 01:58:17 UTC This might not work in all cases. In my cases the split-application removed every printed and working url from the PDF files. I need to export the working PDF for guiding the reader to additional internet-pages. A "Export Notes only" function would be very useful.
