new Chart: Window closer does not work
Last modified: 2013-02-24 21:21:52 UTC
Into the Wizard Step 2 shrink the Dialog for select a Datarange. After using the Window closer the Dialog doesn't close, they will be get back into default.

The range chooser is a separate dialog that opens when you click the button. The Closer closes the addition dialog and returns to the former dialog. So from this standpoint the behavior is logical. However, a user might see the button as a shink-button that only shrinks the dialog to the single line, so the closer still belongs, logically, to the same dialog. ->MMP: What do you think from a UX perspective? I think we should at least describe the behavior in the spec. Maybe we should also change the icon so that it doesn't look like a shrink-button, but like a "open the range chooser" button, because that is what it currently is. Currently, we also need this button to choose, it is not a goody to see more due to the smaller dialog, it is required.
changed target to 2.3
The current behavior is as specified in the spec document FlexibleSourceRangeSelection (http://specs.openoffice.org/chart/dataselection/FlexibleSourceRangeSelection.odt) and is so far committed on by the iTeam of that spec. BTW, MS Excel 2003 behaves the same way (i.e. the closer of the small window does not close the entire dialog, but only the little window).
Back to you.
In case that is another Dialog, accepted. Closed
