Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 73008
Conditional Formatting
Last modified: 2016-05-23 13:40:09 UTC
When using the function STYLE() in a "Conditional formatting" it would be possible to apply more than 3 different cell-styles in a table. But the constant actualizing makes the document flittering (right word?) and perhaps needs to much processor-ressources. Would be fine if that could be changed so that it would be possible to use STYLE() in combination with IF or VLOCCKUP. I'll add an example-doc

hmmm i think it is a miracle that this works. i agree that, when the flickering is stopped, this would be a nice (but hidden) feature.
I think the problem here is that you are modifying the cell contents in the conditional formatting formula, triggering continuous display updates, with 100% cpu and flickering. See Issue 71392 (dup of Issue 66415) for another example with a different approach and no flickering; however you can't apply the conditional formatting to a cell which receives entry data, only to a formula.
