Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 73790
WW8: unnumbered outline styles not assigned to outline anymore
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:42:35 UTC
Creat Word (Word 2003 (11.8106.8107) SP2)document, enter three line of text and apply them heading1, headin2, heading3 style. Then open this file with Writer (heading style is seen correctly) and export it as PDF. Open PDF file (Acrobat 6) and no bookmarks in Bookmarks sidebar are seen. If i open the same *.doc file with OOo 2.0.4 - headings are exported to PDF correctly. No problems if i create *.odt file with heading and export it with OOo 2.1.

Reassigned to HI.
Confirming with OO 2.0.4 (on Suse 10.2) vs OO b9107 on WinXP - 2.0.4 produced .pdf with bookmarks (circled in green on attached screenshot), b9107 does not (circled in red). Any chance for 2.2.1?

HI->MRU: Not a pdf issue. Bugdoc shows also no headings at the navigator. OOo204 do show headings.
MRU->OD: problem is, that unnumbered headings are not assigned to the outline anymore. Was ok in OO 2.0.4.
fixed in cws swqbf95 - changed files: /sw/inc/format.hxx, 1.27.112.1 /sw/inc/fmtcol.hxx, 1.7.156.1.4.1 /sw/source/core/attr/format.cxx, 1.10.112.1.4.1 /sw/source/core/doc/fmtcol.cxx, 1.20.78.1.4.1 /sw/sw/source/core/edit/edfcol.cxx, 1.7.172.1 /sw/source/core/edit/edfmt.cxx, 1.7.80.1 /sw/source/core/layout/pagedesc.cxx, 1.14.148.1 /sw/source/core/unocore/unostyle.cxx, 1.68.78.1 /sw/source/filter/inc/fltshell.hxx, 1.15.192.1 /sw/source/filter/rtf/rtftbl.cxx, 1.32.78.1 /sw/source/filter/rtf/swparrtf.cxx, 1.64.80.1 /sw/source/filter/ww8/ww8par2.cxx, 1.127.64.1 /sw/source/filter/xml/xmltbli.cxx, 1.53.172.1 /sw/source/ui/app/docstyle.cxx, 1.25.172.1 defect cause - introduced by issue 70223: On resetting all attributes of a paragraph style also the assignment to the list level of the outline style is deleted. This is in general correct, but the WW8 import doesn't build-up the assignment, when the headings aren't outline numbered.

OD->MRU: Checked internal installation set of cws swqbf95 - please verify.
Have you seen the strange behavior described in Issue 73891 ? When modifying in OOo the file to get back the headings in their levels and saving as .doc, all used headings get numbered, even if they'd been set without numbering in OOo Outline Numbering dialog. This may be an issue for people working in OOo and exchanging documents with MS Word users.
Verified fix in CWS swqbf95. Also the follow-up problem hagar mentioned above will not occur anymore.
Checked fix in OOF680m6.
