graphics (pictures) randomly disappear from frames

I'm using FC6 (32-bit system) and OOo 2.1 (from the OOo website). I have a large document (about 350 pages) with 90 figues (all in frames). After previewing or printing or just about doing anything, I find that 3 or 4 pictures (inserted into frames and having the contents locked), are missing. The caption has moved from below where the pic used to be and is now at the top of the frame. If I click where the pic used to be, an outline appears and I can open the picture panel. The thumbnail of the pic shows up in the picture panel but the picture is GONE for good. I have to re-insert from older versions of the documents. I'm embedding the documents (not linking them). This makes it very difficult to use OOo for serious work. This has happened on at least 3 separate occassions in the last 3 weeks.
rabil, please provide the document. If it is bigger than 1MB you can post it at www.mytempdir.com. If it is confidential indicate that and developers will instruct you how to send it privately. I think this issue might be related http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=73015

Thaks a lot. BTW: it sounds similar to issue 69521; could you please check, if the problem still occurs with the newest OO 2.2 developer OOF680m2 or newer?

I cannot reproduce the problem anymore withn OO 2.2 RC build. Could you please try out with this build, too? We introduced a fix for VERY similar issue 69521.
I've installed 2.2 and I will try it with the document that had the disappearing pictures as soon as possible.

This problem still exists OOo in 2.2 and is very annoying. I simply can't use image frames because half of them keep disappearing randomly when I scroll to another page. This behaviour has existed also in many previous versions, at least from OOo 2.0. I don't know if bug #69521 applied only to EPS images; I get the problem with JPEGs. Please reopen either issue.
Please reopen this! It still exists on OO 2.3 and is very annoying. I have a document with about 15 JPEG images in frames and they keep disappearing randomly when I only scroll to another page. This bug has persisted for years and makes OOo unusable for any somewhat complex layout.
magi42, your problem is a different one. Please file a new issue for it, where you attach your sample document containing the disappearing jpegs. Thanks a lot!
