Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 74290
distribution of hyph_de_DE.dic violates the LPPL
Last modified: 2010-03-09 17:08:33 UTC
hyph_de_DE.dic, as found in http://ftp.services.openoffice.org/pub/OpenOffice.org/contrib/dictionaries/hyph_de_DE.zip is derived from a file licensed under the LPPL, but it violates at least paragraph 6d of the LPPL. Needed information: Either distribute the original file as well, or (better) name the file and the version of the file which the derived work is based on. The LPPL requests "Information that is sufficient to obtain a complete, unmodified copy of the Work." The LPPL can be found at http://www.latex-project.org/lppl.txt
SBA: Confirming 21 sub-issues of issue 74283 at once. I believe that doko did the right thing and could/should have set the issues to NEW right after submitting (Just like all "CanConfirm rights owners" do when submitting issues) Thus I beieve that taking a second look at EACH of these files is not worth the effort. The state "Unconfirmed" is irritating queries used in daily QA work.

Created attachment 66721 [details] *.diff against OOO320_m8
Created attachment 66722 [details] *.diff against OOO320_m8
Reassigned to TL.
Fixed in CWS dict32b. Files changed: dictionaries: M de_DE/README_hyph_de_DE.txt M de_AT/README_hyph_de_AT.txt In the file README_hyph_de_AT.txt I took the liberty to also change the following lines: Language: German (de DE). Die Trennmuster (hyph_de_DE.dic) basieren auf den TeX Trennmustern to Language: German (de AT). Die Trennmuster (hyph_de_AT.dic) basieren auf den TeX Trennmustern
Missed the line Trennmuster (hyph_de_DE.dic): in README_hyph_de_AT.txt. Changed that one as well to Trennmuster (hyph_de_AT.dic):
verified.
reassigned because of extensions
fixed in the updated extensions of the frami and igerman98 dictionaries (2010-03-07).
