Start Chart Wizard without having any data range selected (empty Cell) . Go to
Step 2 an
minimize the dialog with the button "select data range".
Select a data range with content.
The Chart will not adopt the values.

It's not possible for me to select a  new datarange if the hold datarange is empty
-> With OOo m213 and Linux Debian and KDE

@toni: maybe you must at first minimize the Dialog (as written in my description).
