Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 75623
Calc: cannot change hyperlink back to plain text
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:12:27 UTC
Windows XP Home, Chinese (Traditional chararcetrs). OpenOffice Calc 2.0.1, Chinese (Traditional characters). 1. Open blank document. 2. In cell A1 type "http://a" and then <Enter>. 3. Now there is no way to convert the hyperlink back to plain text, or change the text in the hyperlink. The only way is to select the cell and do "Format -> Default". But in doing so you also lose all other formats in the cell. 4. COMMENT: It would be better if there is a way to convert the hyperlink back to plain text, or select the hyperlink and modify its properties (e.g. text). Thanks. Qiyao
Confirming with 2.2m11 - there does not seem to be a way to change hyperlink inplace. User would need to copy it somewhere else, change and put back.
Hi, not a defect but an enhancement. You may select the link, cut it to the clipboard and paste special it as unformatted text to the same position. Now you have converted the hyperlink into plain text. Frank
This also happens with email addresses (just another form of hyperlink) in calc.
