Description zhongqiyao 2007-03-22 11:16:17 UTC
See the attachment.
Watch line 331.
It does not happen all the time.

Also, in OpenOffice Writer, sometimes during scrolling
or hide-and-display a horizontal line
is "faulted" (like geographical or crystal fault)
by one pixel so that it is
discontinuous.

Thanks.

Please try latest version, which is 2.2 at the moment, as 2.0.1 is more than
year old and a number of improvements was integrated since than.
Comment 3 zhongqiyao 2007-04-11 04:30:00 UTC
A vertical line in Writer may also be "faulted" by
one pixel.
I will try Calc 2.2 and Writer 2.2 when I get
hold of it.

Thanks.

For 2.0.1,
Here (attached) is an example of how Writer display
may be "faulted" by two pixels. The problem
disappears when the Window is hidden and re-exposed.

I will observe this problem in 2.2.

Thanks.

This still happens in Calc 2.2.1,
as a result of horizontal scrolling.
See attachment.

Thanks.

This also happens in Impress 2.2.1,
while selecting text that requires scrolling.
See attachment.

Thanks.

Microsoft Windows XP Home SP2, Chinese (traditional-character) version.
OpenOffice 2.3rc3, Chinese (traditional-character) version.

It does not need a long file for it to happen.
The attachment "after_scrolling.JPG" happens in Calc after scrolling.
The attachment "hidden_and_reexposed.JPG" gives the correct appearance
after it was hidden under another window and re-exposed to view.

Thanks.

Recreated under Microsoft Windows Professional SP3, English version, using
OpenOffice v3.0.0 Beta (English Version) Impress.

This defect can be reproduced by the following steps:

1. Create a new impress presentation from the original template (pink and white).
2. Add a slide with the layout "title, two objects, text" (or any layout
containing an "object" element).
3. Scroll down in the normal view of the slide to the bottom, then very slowly
scroll up using the scroll bar.

At this point the text in the object box stating "Double-Click to Add an Object"
will show the faulting described.

I have also noticed the faulting in a few other conditions using the same template:
-scrolling up slowly with a text box selected, the border of the text box will
fault.
-scrolling up with text in a text box in MS outlook size 26 font, if the text
box is not selected.

Finally, I was unable reproduce the faults in the text using either the blue and
orange template or the "subtle accents" template, although both showed the same
fault in the border of selected text boxes.
