Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 75895
a sample powerpoint file failed to be opened in OOo 2.1
Last modified: 2007-12-23 15:28:59 UTC
A sample powerpoint file can be opened normally in OOo 1.1.2 but failed to be opened in OOo 2.1 either in the Windows OS ( Windows 2000 ) or in the linux OS ( FC3 ). Futhermore, the whole OOo program will get hanged and the program is forced to get closed. The sample file will be attached later on and please help to check the difference between 1.1.2 and 2.1 . Thank you for your reading and handling. Best Regards.
Created attachment 44040 [details] a sample powerpoint file failed to be opened in OOo 2.1
Version 2.0 final is last last one that opens the sample. 2.1 and following opens the doc in outline view and then hangs. Reassigned. Do we know something similar?
I can reproduce the bug. Please have a look.
Would not this issue deserve "regression, crash" keywords and all associated privileges (P2, 2.2.1 target)?

I can open this in m240 (soon-to-be 2.4.0) It does seems to have some issues rendering, but it does not crash or hang and it is not empty.
Attached file opens in both 2.3.1 and m239. Unless mwu4 objects issue should be closed.
I am sorry that I do not find out this issue is solved in 2.3.1 because the language version that I use is Traditional Chinese version. Till now, the stable Traditional Chinese version is 2.2.1 and the trial version is 2.3.0rc3 . I'll try the English version to check this issue; however this issue can be closed according to kpalagin's report. Thanks for kpalagin's report and hope that this issue can be solved for Traditional Chinese version and other language versions soon.
Resolving as fixed
and closing.
