Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 76466
Pixmaps and gnome desktop integration doesnot fit together
Last modified: 2013-02-07 21:51:28 UTC
During the installatio from OOo 2.2 the pixmaps are copied to /usr/share/pixmaps/ and named openoffice.org2.2-printeradmin.png /usr/share/pixmaps/openoffice.org2.2-base.png /usr/share/pixmaps/openoffice.org2.2-calc.png /usr/share/pixmaps/openoffice.org2.2-draw.png /usr/share/pixmaps/openoffice.org2.2-impress.png /usr/share/pixmaps/openoffice.org2.2-math.png /usr/share/pixmaps/openoffice.org2.2-printeradmin.png /usr/share/pixmaps/openoffice.org2.2-writer.png but in the files for the desktop integration in the directory /usr/share/applications the pixmaps have names openoffice.org2.2-base.desktop:Icon=openofficeorg22-base openoffice.org2.2-calc.desktop:Icon=openofficeorg22-calc openoffice.org2.2-draw.desktop:Icon=openofficeorg22-draw openoffice.org2.2-impress.desktop:Icon=openofficeorg22-impress openoffice.org2.2-math.desktop:Icon=openofficeorg22-math openoffice.org2.2-printeradmin.desktop:Icon=openofficeorg22-printeradmin.png openoffice.org2.2-writer.desktop:Icon=openofficeorg22-writer . The dots in the name of the pixmaps are missing, so the Buttons in the gnome ore JDS menues are shown but doesnot have any Icons.
@ ihi: Please have a look.
Seen on Solaris 10. Not a regression but a nice to have in OOo 2.3.
due to lack of resources retargeted
The Desktop integration in 2.3 is working, but in the file /usr/share/applications/openoffice.org2.3-extension.desktop the Icon-Entry ist missing. Original Version: [Desktop Entry] Version=1.0 Encoding=UTF-8 Terminal=false Type=Application Categories=Application;Office; MimeType=application/vnd.openofficeorg.extension Exec=unopkg gui %U NoDisplay=true Name=OpenOffice.org 2.3 Extension Manager Comment=Extension Manager My Version: [Desktop Entry] Version=1.0 Encoding=UTF-8 Terminal=false Type=Application Icon=openofficeorg23-extension Categories=Application;Office; MimeType=application/vnd.openofficeorg.extension Exec=unopkg gui %U NoDisplay=true Name=OpenOffice.org 2.3 Extension Manager Comment=Extension Manager
Actually the extensions manager should not be listed in the launch menu, but the file is necessary to assign file types to it. See issue 81444.
retarget to OOo 3.0
can we close this issue?
I have to check this issue again, retarget to 3.2 due lack of time
