Description kpalagin 2007-04-25 09:36:56 UTC
Please compare two attached screenshots - one is made with OO, the other with
Word. Note the difference in quality - percieved quality of pictures in Writer
is lower.
I am also attaching the document itself.

Confirmed with OOo 2.0.4, WinXP PC.
Images are of low quality due to apparent lack of anti-aliasing / down sampling
of the greyscale preview image.

MRU->SJ: I do not know if this is an import or a view problem. The lines in the
graphics are interrupted and some parts are missing. Please have a look.

You may want to change the component. The same problem occurs for example in
Impress. Resizing the image in a graphics program such as Paint.NET (that is,
doing the anti-aliasing in a program other than OOo), then importing the smaller
image into OOo alleviates the problem somewhat. Let me know if you need more
attachments demonstrating the problem. We are using OOo 2.4.0.

Any chance for 3.2?
