Description christoph.lukasiak 2007-05-07 17:12:57 UTC
0. open a new database
1. create a table with any field
2. open the report designer and bind it to the table
3.draw a hor./vert. line

-> a wide drawn line 'rectangle' can block other controls or does not fit close
to other control fields - the handling is very uncomfortable

add keyword new_implementation

The Report Designer iTeam decided that this is no show stopper for the first
release, and no "should be fixed if possible at all". targeting to "not
determined" for the moment.

I just tried to make a report with the report builder better readable by adding
some lines. I imagined that for a horizontal line the height would be something
like a line thickness and for a vertical line the width, respectively.
However, I relaized that the lines in the report all have the same thickness
independent of width/height settings.
Apart from that it would be nice to be able to add just borders to the fields,
then one would not need any lines with complicated positioning to mimick that.

BTW: Is this component being worked on at all? It seems that there has been no
activity since 2007.....

@Olaf: We are still working on that component. Currectly you can download the
newest version for testing purpose from qa-upload.services.openoffice.org/SRB.
But this version are only running with OOo 3.2.
