Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 77105
RPT: wmf graphics are not shown in report
Last modified: 2007-09-27 02:04:47 UTC
0. open a new database 1. create a table with an image control 2. open the report designer and bind it to the table 3. open the add field container and d&d the image control into the working area 4. insert a '.wmf' graphic (f.e. from gallary) & execute the report -> graphic is not shown
set keyword 'new_implementation'
The Report Designer iTeam decided that this issue is a show stopper for the release of the report designer. Targeting to 2.3, thus.
->tmorgner: Now it's time to insert the graphics implementation with different storages we already talked about.

With the fix for Bug 77035, we changed the way images are recognized. The new UNO-Service now also recognizes WMF-files as images and therefore all imageformats that are supported by OpenOffice are considered valid by the reporting engine.
Hi Thomas, it doesn't work as aspect ed :-( Could you please have a look at it. Thanks. - oj
With the latest patch, the engine now recognizes all images. For WMF images, the UNO-call to GraphicProvider.queryGraphicsDescriptor(..) returns a width and height of zero. Therefore it is not yet possible to scale these images or to show them in the correct size.
fixed. Last piece of the puzzle was that the GraphicDescriptor requires to load the graphics before providing proper size information.
please verify in CWS build 0.4.0
reassign to clu
does not work in 0.4.0

Works for me, on both Windows and Linux, using the latest build from http://ooo.services.openoffice.org/pub/OpenOffice.org/cws/upload/oj14/ However, if you do not delete the old reportdesigner.ocx (and the uno-cache for this package) from your home-directory prior to installing the new build, OpenOffice seems to use the old version instead of the new one.
fs->clu: please attach a sample document, and a sample graphics. For me, this works fine in my 0.4.0 installation.
Hi, All graphics are only displayed if you save and close the report and execute the report again. If you insert a graphic into a new report the graphic is not shown. I wrote issue 78454 for this. I set this issue to verified. bye Marc
reassign to msc
verified
Tested w/ XP, OOo 2.3 stable, SRB 1.0.1 ( no need to save and close report as msc mentioned any more, it works straight from the design editor now )
