Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 77176
Context or floating toolbars customizations aren't saved after they closed and reopened
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:31:14 UTC
Floating toolbars' customizations aren't saved after they close and are reopened Steps-- 1. Insert a table 2. Click inside table 3. Click dropdown arrow on floating Table toolbar titlebar (next to "x"), click customize, change "Toolbar" dropdown to "icons and text". Close that window. 4. Click outside table so toolbar disappears 5. Click inside table again so toolbar appears again Actual Results-- The toolbar has reverted back to just "icons", not "icons and text" Expected Results-- The toolbar should save the customizations after closing, so it should show "icons and text" Additional Info: This happens both with floating and docked "context" toolbars.
cd: Confirmed. It's a problem with the configuration and the layout manager caching. The property is only changed in the configuration therefore the layout manager uses the old setting. I propose to support properties at the ui elements which can be set by the customization dialog. The layout manager should listen for changes at these properties and update its own cached props.
cd: Set myself as owner.
cd: Accepted.
Another toolbar I found with this bug is in Openoffice.org Impress If you set the "Line and Filling" toolbar (default second line toolbar) to "icons and text", and then switch to the "Outline" "Notes" "Handout" or "Slide Sorter" tabs, then they lose the 'icons and text' customization as you switch amongst them.
Actually scratch that, it appears that the Impress issue only shows up if the second line toolbar, whilst switching amongst the outline/notes/handout/etc. tabs, aren't all in "icons and text" mode; I've since set them all to that mode and the bug isn't noticeable to me anymore. Apologies for replying too many times and many thanks cd for taking on this bug...
