Description kemendd 2007-05-11 14:59:18 UTC
1. created the postgresql database (UTF8) under linux debian 8.1
2. Successfully connected to the database via JDBC driver
postgresql-8.1-409.jdbc3.jar
3. Successfully created the table in the 'public' scheme
4. here the problem comes: after and attempt to edit or open
the table OO crashes with no error message.

Please help?
Comment 1 kemendd 2007-05-11 15:14:06 UTC
it is related to http://dba.openoffice.org/FAQ/specific.html#tablecrash
I guess..
Comment 2 kemendd 2007-05-12 15:36:56 UTC
sounds definitely like a continuation for issue 69426
http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=69426
though it is different version of the OO and I am not sure
I should close this issue. It is important to resolve it!

Thanks
K.

http://www.openoffice.org/scdocs/ddIssues_EnterModify.html#priority
A crash is a P2, not a P1.
Comment 4 kemendd 2007-05-13 00:50:45 UTC
http://www.openoffice.org/scdocs/ddIssues_EnterModify.html#priority
says:
Reproducible, unavoidable crash or freeze in functionality indispensible for the
whole product; e.g. crash upon loading arbitrary documents

That's what I meant.

Sorry if it was not.

K.

P.S. If it was up to me I'd say P1.
Comment 5 kemendd 2007-05-13 01:20:31 UTC
Posgresql log says:

<...timestamp ..> CDT LOG: unexpected EOF on client connection
Comment 6 Frank Schönheit 2007-05-14 08:30:32 UTC
"indispensible for the whole product" is certainly not true. The "whole product"
is OpenOffice.org, not Base.
Comment 7 Mechtilde 2008-05-05 10:57:28 UTC
add Simon to CC.

Can you check if this problem also exists on Linux with the latest version.
Comment 8 p9w.vu.31122010 2008-05-05 11:33:35 UTC
Just tried with the native driver -> no problem.

Can you download the native driver extension from
http://dba.openoffice.org/drivers/postgresql/index.html and retry?

Thanks.
